Came across this vehicle on a trip late last year, it's in the scrub approximately 5-800m upstream from the Waipara river mouth.

I was in the area again today so went and checked it out for any id.
It was completely stripped and I mean COMPLETELY...bare shell basically.
It looks like it was standard but would have been someone's pride and joy.

Found the chassis number - KRY60 109650
All VIN plates had been removed but there was another metal tag by the passenger side bonnet stop which has the number UO 0088.

If this rings a bell with someone then I can point them in the direction of where to find it. Pics to follow.

umm.......... and in breaking news this is totally unrelated to all the parts i just listed on here and on tradme

Can vouch for that ...you're an honest bugger, i've got a few parts off you in the past.

They had cut the engine mounts from the chassis with a grinder to get the engine out quicker and easier, no diffs, panhards or any suspension stuff on it except bumpstops, interior completely gutted or melted etc.

According to police website its listed as stolen as of 2013-10-02 was rego PU1216.... suggest you inform the cops of its exact location so they can tell the owner / insurance company.

Cheers Trev, will follow that through just to make sure. It was reported after the trip but we didn't have the chassis number at that time.

prety sure thats the one that got stolen from liethfield beach cops know about it and the owner has been paid out .Did it have a sort of cage in the back

I was there with jamie when he found it. Yes mike it had a cargo barrier. There was heaps of chainsaw chains in it too.

Maybe the Amberley cops didn't know Mike?
I rang central and a couple of days later the Amberley cop phoned me to find out if it looked like it had been there awhile, what state it was in etc.

yep they know i know who owened it and went looking had to tell him he was gutted to say the least it had 500km + on the clock and still a mint motor ,well serviced etc two new chain saws etc etc all went missing this was last year i did a post on it. sad part is the cops know who .even sader locals.just cant prove it.MODAFOOOKERS.
