ranger lift 4" to7" lift

Post by shaun250 »

After some input about wofs and certs

I have a 2010 ford ranger, my plan is 3" body lift and 4" lift spindles in front and 2" blocks in rear to level it back up and maybe bigger tyres when its time to replace. any one tried this, am I aloud to do this on nz roads?

I don't want to be an Auckland 4x4er and have 20" chrome wheels on a 4x4 or have big mud tyres and never go offroad!! haha , so my compromise is!!! its a 2wd that looks like a 4wd as the buy price was a lot less.
yes I do just want the look.

I have read afew forums about the danger of body lifts, and higher c.o.g , I am a sensible drive and offroaded for several years. I have my ute apart and it has 75mm blocks of wood under it, everything seems to be ok. after feedback on 2" and 3" bodylifts then I will make some blocks up

you cant do a body lift on a airbagged car and you can only remove the airbags if its 14 years old unless you fit a homologated roll cage so the body lift isnt really an option , i have ball joint spacers for the front ends in stock etc ,

With the 1" spacers and reindexed tortions lift leafs and shackles in the rear will gie you 3" front 2" rear lift

go between the upper arm and upper ball joint to give you your downward travel back and correct the upper arm angle after doing lifts , you would also need longer travel shocks also , we do tough dog 41mm bore shocks for $860 a set

I have heard ford explorer springs will give a 2" rear lift ? can u confirm?
will a shakle in the rear be best option? instead of explorer springs or 2" lift blocks. for best ride and or cost
