Coil spacers?

Hi guys. Recently gone from 265 70 16 to 265 75 on my 90 series prado. Got a bit of rubbing but nothing major. I've been toying with the idea of doing a slight lift on the truck and have seen and been told about coil spacers. Any of you guys had any experience with them and know of any disadvantages.

Cheers

For a small lift I don't think they are any problem.
Make sure your shocks are long enough for full extension & check that on full compression that the axle hits the bump stops, as the coil can 'bind' and I've heard of chassis damage due to the coil taking the hit, rather than the rubber bump stop.

I fitted a set of 40mm spacers to the rear of my truck. No issues at all but I had already fitted longer shocks and brake lines.

Matt.

why not try some dislocation cones from a range rover.. seated they should lift it about that anyway. then there is another 4 odd inches of travel after that if you dare.

If you are rubbing under full compression then a lift won't help unless you extend the bump stops.
