Need to lengthen my steering shaft on my Isuzu MU
Whats the go with doing it legally?
Just take it to a engineer with a welding ticket get the paper work then get cert?
I have a 3" body lift and need to lengthen the steering shaft to make it all work

nope
can you bolt a spacer in somewhere how much extra length do you need, 3" is a pretty big bodylift

Na no way i can put a spacer in. Not like a toyota shaft
Its got prado diffs front and rear and the spring/strut comes up past the chassis so lifted the body to get clearance. With 3" its only just enough to get the body back on.

Can you cut the inner guards and lower the body?
Don't believe you can cert welded steering pieces.

Yea i can cut the front guards to get the body lower. It use to have no body lift and the front guards cut and the floor in the rear chopped to fit the rear suspension thru. Ive taken the old body off and scraped it and put a tidy body on
I don't want to cut the new body up as i want back seats. maybe its not possible
