intake manifold

having a spare intake and cracked head decieded to try doing a pendulum intake build,
cutting it was easy,

now to cut the side panels and top out of 5mm ali and get cuzzy bros to weld it up

Started revision and not tack together yet, making the top 100mm wide where intake pipe bolts on,
Tapering down to 80 wide at the manifold itself.
More strength and volume

a few mins here afew there and

still need cut top in to 3 bits the we can start the tacking.
asked a member off another forum on weld procedure, A4 later an none to the gear he speaks about we don't have. tig for the top bits old bits to new mig welded

You could use ali bends too.......

Made it for my tow wagon
75mm more height, but still tucks in nicely

mig tacked bits together tonight , some dim made the base to wide , nothing that can't be fix, plus first time used this pull mig it was fun 3/4 hour trying
one tack gave way , but its mine

otherside, the boss came and had a look at what I am trying to do

so how high are you going to raise the bonnet to fit that in??
and the air would of gone stale by the time it gets the the inlet valves ah

will bring cross over pipe down as it max height is the top of the silicone 90 bend now

ie, 160mm off the old top of intake manifold

you could just about fit a water to air intercooler inside that

here pic of engine the 160mm is the top of silicon bend going down to manifold, so I can level cross over pipe

at moment rubs to heat shielding

yes , suppose so just following ideas off patrol forum, no real cost to me so why not
