Have a look at donaghys.com and under 'rope and cordage' and 'wire replacement' and 'dyneema uhmpe' you will find a product called Ocean 12 HS. The specs and coating etc are right up there...
I just bought 40m of 9mm at 11 plus tonne breaking...
Haven't used in anger yet but I'm very confident it will perform well.
11mm has a breaking strain of around 16 tonne.... that should be enough for ya :)

Amsteel from Tony at ultra ropes, used with hydro winch and was about one of the ropes that lasted, light trucks can use cheaper , lighter rope.
Heavy trucks need strong rope.

Just my opinion.

Wider drum would not bunch so much on a long pull, as would run off drum at speed.
Check out some of the winching on the mainland winching Facebook.

its mid mounted so the rope should follow the same line each time...all going well

the rope comes in from the top of the photo (rear of vehicle)
the blue section is the rear of the tub

I could only fit 60 metres of 12.5 Amsteel and my drum was 500 =250
It would fit more but the speed make it jump the drum.

yeah i hear ya
my initial concept was for 50 odd meters which should fit with 3 full layers. after that i will use the balance as extension rope.

if the cost gets to far up there i will settle for 60 meters and get the extentions at a later date
