I'm sure its the same hole/bank but its changed a bit since we were there
The bottom has filled in making the approach easier
This was my brother's failed attempt, counldn't go back or forward, even with his diff lock. Was too deep a hole on the rear right.
If we played around a bit longer we prob would have managed to get through after knowing the places to dodge.

Yeah it does look much the same place. It definitly wasnt that deep, even though there had been plenty of rain. (Other parts of the river were slightly deeper, as I found out)

Dude. anyone that has read any of my other posts bout the kowai will know I drive it at night by myself plenty often enough. So um yeh, all lies. That thing bout not wanting to try that deep rut that that girl had done is soooo not true. When I found out she'd done it I had to give it a shot.

Has any one got through the side bit beside the balcairn bridge on the North side of the river bed? Bro got stuck there and we had to drag him out, was pretty soft that day. We may have got through if we played longer but was heading home so didn't take the time.

Can you be more specific? do you mean trying to climb out of the river and back up on to the road? or do you mean that big man made channel that they dug down the northside of the river just down stream from the bridge?

Yeah prob the man made channel.
Its just down stream (maybe 30m) from the bridge on the north side. right against the trees, infact there is scrub growing between it and the riverbed proper
this place
Would be no problem with less water to give a more firm surface
