Hi all I have bought some air locking diffs for my prado. The front diff went together without a hitch. I hit a snag at the rear diff tho since it has the factory electric locker in the rear the diff head has 2 different sized bearings that hold the centre in there for different size adjuster nut on one side and it happens to be the side that they have the slip ring set up for the air to get in to the centre of the diff. My question is has anybody else had this trouble? and how have they combated it? any help would be great thanks

I dont think you can fit an air locker to the E locker diff head.
You will need to get a std diff and fit the air locker to that and then mod the axle housings mating face...

Have to ask, If you already have a factory locker in the rear, then why try to fit another locker in its place?
Unless the E locker doesn't work?
But then wouldn't it be an easier option to get that working instead?

You can make up a manual system or an air actuator for the e locker....

if you search on this forum you will find info on the motor. Likely by WJW.
As I understand it they are the same as the actuator motor for the 80 series, and also for a transfer case selection or something... (off the top of my head)

I would be fixing the factory one, as they work well, having had lots of good ol Toyota R & D done on them.
