new in hamilton

Post by lockedlock »

Hey everyone, I'm Mark from Hamilton.
I have 90 Tarrano, running a reconed Q32, after market turbo, 31 hankook muds, with a slight suspension lift.
Bought it as a work truck, I'm a builder, but am having a lot of fun camping and doing some casual 4wd with it.
Took it up the te aroha side of Thompsons last weekend. Got up no worries, actually pulled up big horn most the way haha.
Found your forum so thought id join, definitely have intentions of getting into it a bit more, get some gear and just learn more about it.

Cheers

Greetings! I am in Cambridge and also new to 4wd. I thought Thompsons track was closed? We went up a few months ago but only made it to the forestry area before we found a nice slippery clay hill....

Dam that snorkel is high, how deep is the water you drive in

You might want to think about lowering it before driving in the bush, under branches etc

I dont have an exposed A Pilar to fix anything to? How have other terrano owners fitted theirs? The door surround covers the whole pillar. The only way to lower it would be to to buy/get a stainless one made so it can support itself somehow? Haha so im a bit cheap!

I have never owned a terrano, is it possible to bend up a bracket that attaches to the A pillar with the door open but is bent in such a way that the door can close, or fit a narrow bracket to the windscreen surround?
