ln106 transfer case question

Allo all,
So doing an oil change this morning on my '91 ln106 2.8 Surf before having coffee, bit bleary eyed and took the drain plug out of the transfer case instead of the sump. Realised what I'd done and shoved it back in quick smart but some oil did drain out. Pushed for time as we're heading off on a trip tomorrow so I my question is, on the push button 4wd setup is the transfer case actually driven in any way if the vehicle is in 2wd? i.e. can I get away with not topping up the oil until we get back? We'll have no need for 4wd while we're away so that's not an issue.

The output to the rear driveshaft still goes through the transfer case in 2wd...... Would be best to top up before your heading away I would say...

thanks Jay, I would if I could get the feckin filler plug out! Some munter's done it up nice and tight and the nut's a wee bit rounded.

Yeah it really is. This is on top of bloody Repco giving me the wrong oil filter so the girlfriend had to go fetch me the right one and drive out here with it.
And I ripped me favourite shorts!

Cheers for the advice mate, I'm off up to the local garage to see if they can get the filler plug out and top the damn thing up. Have a good long weekend yerself.

If not it may be an option to remove the gear lever and put oil in that way, I usually do it like that anyway as I'm too tight to buy an oil pump thingy...
