Doing a double hook pull over the weekend to reduce the length and my strop rode up and got pulled into the edge of the hook and penetrated it.
Are these repairable or just chuck it and replace it?
Cheers
Matt.

I would definately say replace it.
Save the damaged strop for something else which isn't quite so critical.

Cut out the damaged section and get Cookes or similar to put new eyes in the ends, giving you two shorter strops.
Then go buy a new long one.

It still looks in good nick. Take it in to cooks and get them to chop it and sow in a new eye as short ropes a real handy
