Safari GQ, what are these hoses?

Where are these supposed to go/did go?
The vehicle has had an aftermarket turbo fitted and air con has been removed. They seem to wind around and go through the firewall near the top left of the engine bay.
Second pic shows what appears to be a temp sender? Can someone confirm this.

Does your heater blow hot air? They look like heater hoses to me....
And yes, looks like a temp sender in the 2nd pic - maybe had an aftermarket temp gauge at some stage.

Yeah it blows hot air. I also have the rear heater installed, maybe it could be for that unit?

Ah yeah, could be for the rear heater unit actually.. The main heater runs through the pipes at the top in the second pic, down the centre

Yep just traced the pipes, for the rear heater, may as well remove that I guess. At least I have a few extra holes for running cables through the firewall!

Haha yeah that's the one... In fact, I don't think I have ever used the rear heater in any of my vehicles before!

Hey mate,
I'm curious which hoses did you block off for rear heater. My heater hoses from thermostats follow tappet cover and go into firewall there, but then it Tees off on the bottom to below brake master cylinder. I blew a hose there under brakes and have since had the heater hoses in a loop so no heater at all. Would like to know which ones I need to block off in eng bay so I can have only front heater. Nissan don't make the heater hoses I need anymore.
Cheers

The hoses for the rear heater go through the firewall below the master cylinder, hard up against the side guard. I pulled mine out yesterday.
If you trace them back from the firewall you should be able to figure out which ones to connect/disconnect.
The other ones you mention running through the firewall near the tappet cover will probably be the ones for the main front heater. As far as I understand it there is a heater core buried in the centre of the dash which controls the cabin temperature, I would say that those pipes run to this.

Oh sweet, so I'll remove that t joint and plumb em straight into the wall there. Getting a bit hard chasing floods when the windscreen is fogging up hahahah
