So removed engine from a 1994 VR Commodore executive today (series 1 3.8 ) and am sorting things out for the transplant into an Isuzu Wizard. Biggest worry before I start is the Body control Module/Anti-theft system incorporated into this. How can the computer be tricked into thinking the module is there, or bypass this altogether? I will be using the ignition key that is from the wizard as want the bcm gone and not have a coded key. Also will not be using the holden trans. Any help will be much appreciated, Cheers

probably be cheaper to go like a link ecu and custom loom be cheaper then getting a key for it or getting sumone to plug the ecu into a lappy

There was a guy on trademe doing a computer swop for $70 plus postage
give him your computer and he gives you one back with the security codes removed

There is a local sparky who does them too, don't know what he charges tho

IF doing this be aware or static electricity, don't touch the pins of the eprom...

Thanks guys, i will be either doing the swap ecu or replacement eprom as they sound like the best options. Will also have to get the ecu so it doesnt read for the holden trans that won't be there.
At $2k-2.2k for a link computer i think i will steer clear of them.

Cheers
