Have found my "new" R50 has these. Has the little pump up valve on the tow bar.

Any advice on how to use these correctly would be appreciated ie. correct air pressure and recommended towing pressure etc.

Used them years ago towing horse floats. Basically all we would do is inflate them to bring the rear up to around level,similar to(but not higher than) the level it sits when it has no weight on the draw bar. We didn't inflate to a set psi target. It certainly helps improve the handling of the towing vehicle, and on coming traffic no longer get blinded by your low beams:)
Sometimes we would inflate them just for fun, so the V8 ford fairlanes we towed with would look like jacked up hot rods:)

I have them in the back of my D21 they guys at the shop recommended 30psi without any weight in them so would think that the R50 would be the same.
