Did front wheel bearings in my truck. Inners were rooted. Had to cut the bearing off the passenger side.

I had the privilege of having someone modify my truck for me.
Now I have no cd player + a smashed rear passenger window.
Got to love Auckland..
Side note: If anyone has a left rear quarter panel window for a 60 series landcruiser...

Having problems with breaking Warn hub bolts, It seems they back out a thread or two then shear. Real PITA continually having to EZ-Out broken studs.
So replaced them with 10.9 hexagonal cap screws. They have a slightly tapered shank like the factory Nissan bolts.
Also its WOF season so I sprayed the underside with used diesel oil. Works waaaay better than I thought it would. It looks real primo underneath.

warn hubs have a habit of coming loose and flogging out, are their any aisin hubs that fit those things the tapered collets keep them tighter and the're a stronger hub

, are all the dowels still in the hub and not loose or flogged out

I feel your pain! Some asshat boy racer decided he/she didn't like my steering/suspension setup so they very kindly adjusted it for me with the front of their car outside my house at 2am.
Quiet suburban street and a 30m brake lock up. And of course the shits buggered off straight away.
Lucky for me no panel damage but possibly a busted upper A-arm and ball joint plus maybe bent drag link and tie rod.
Lucky for them they missed my front bar or they'd have been toast!
If anybody knows somebody who stacked a red subaru last night please punch them in the nose for me!

Did Odlins Rd with the club. The track has more damage than a few months back when last in there

. Some folk have a done a great job of working on the slip and made the entry to it much better. Stopped for lunch at hut and chatted with a few like minded guys who were in for a play also. Headed back out in time for a play at a local swamp mmmmmm
I followed AJ trough a tricky bit, Im mean we have 4 capable trucks and 3 winches, what could possibly go wrong
Ok so I didnt follow him for long

, thats ok Noel can snatch me out backwards mmm bugger, well never mind Jason can winch Noel while attached to me. ( strop to tight to remove now )....his truck dies, not all is lost AJ can come back across and winch noel and then me out...plan sorted.
So we now have daylight diminishing and oh yeah AJ got stuck on the way back...this is not funny anymore, well hell we still laughing but talk was more serious about recovery now, a friend with twin lockers and a winch was called up, what do ya mean his winch isn't working...

.
Now my motor has been in the river for over an hour and the all the dash warning lights are on, the alternator was wet and not charging, the viscous fan is locked on full time water blasting the engine bay, it just gets better and better

Even with AJs winch hooked up with a pulley block, it wouldn't budge. After a few more failed snatch attempts where digging etc didnt help,( even sheared two new grade 8.8 bolts off the rear tow hook ) we hi-lifted the back end up and quickly shoved it side ways out of the ruts with diff now clear we snatched again, once I got drive when the clutch dried out it came out and I drove back between two others down the river at night with no lights

It just goes to show how quickly

but with good team work, plenty ready to help get wet and cold and stay till we were all going again, you can get a good result. Thanks for help guys.
Still this will cost me

, now to dry every thing out... and fall asleep having had a great day.

Is that where you hid your security light so no one steals any more winches?

No 4wding for a wee while for me.
Had a disceptomy on t4/t5. Had a 12 mm ball of what looks like mince meat taken out of my spine!
Slowly walking today but still got pins and needles in my feet.....
Had mightyhilux4x4 (grant) and de-ranged (reece) in for a visit though, so still got to talk of v8's, lockers etc so all is not lost
