So I have a bit of a parts stash I figure I need to start selling. One item I would like to part with is a toyota 3L diesel. I got it running today, but I can't really satisfy myself it is A1 due to no cooling system being present and anything belt driven has been removed. It sounds fine though, reportedly low kms although no proof at all. I am interested in peoples opinions on where to start price wise? Someone paid me $900 for one with a bad knock 4 years ago......should I just bang it on Trade me and start there? If anyone has any ideas as to how I could better confirm condition I am all ears.
Also have turbo + manifold etc for the same, r151 box etc, arb locker in the back if anyone has any idea where to start with these it would be much appreciated!

Research what a going condition secondhand engine is going for on Trade me, Then go from that to put a price on yours. Pretty simple to suss out.
I have seen a few second hand 3L (2.8) motors going for around $1600, A reconditioned short block is $16-1800 so will anyone spend more on a secondhand unknown?
If you are unsure on the condition of yours drop a few hundred and start there? If no takers lower the price.

unknown condition 1600-2k....fark that. 1200 can get you a known condition 1uzfe with a warrantee.
