Anyone have an owners manual in english that says what this actually does/is supposed to do lol?
Of course, Im not totally dumb  I realize it should change the shift pattern but to what lol. Nissans are usually just power/econ but this one has 3 positions. 'Green' - center - 'Orange'.
Im going to presume green is power mode, it certainly seems to drive a lot nicer in this setting than the center posistion. But what is the orange side? Is it meant to also have an economy mode which would seem pointless when it doesnt rev that high in the normal position anyway, is it meant to be 'hold' mode, is it meant to be like toyotas "2nd Start" mode which disables 1st gear?

Yup - you would be correct... Power will change the shift points in the trans so the engine will rev higher before shifting up, and will downshift quicker with less throttle input - kind of a "sports" mode.

Hold will start off in 2nd gear, and will hold gears until it reaches a predetermined "danger" zone and then it will force a shift.

Ah yup as i thought. So its meant to be power-normal-hold with the hold light doubling as the TCM fault light (instead of the OD Off light) I'm guessing since it flashes when you start the engine.
Strange of Mr Nissan to decide not to label the switch positions

What year is yours? My 1998 has "power" up the top of the switch and "snow" at the bottom...

Mines a 99. Im just going by the fact the most cars including nissans I've driven power has the green light which is at the bottom on mine, and the orange light is economy/hold/snow whatever the low power/extra traction option is on that gearbox
