Hey guys I have just finished putting in my 2inch body lift on my swb and am having problems with 2nd 4th popping out of gear due to the angles that they are now on .i have bent the lever forward with about 15mm to go until the gear knob hits the dash and it's still popping out.. I understand the 2nd rubber boot is the main cause of this due to it scrunching up.removing that boot and it doesn't pop out.what have others done in this sisutation?
Could I replace that bottom boot with Something else? Needs to be water tight though.. Will post pics of soon of the lift Iknow people rather photos :)

Cheers
Marcus

Extend it 2" and bend it so it is straighter is the normal fix. Some forums recommend taking the lower boot and installing it upside down. Others also suggest replacing the upper boot with a soft one from another vehicle (Holden/Vauxhall Vectra - it was a UK site).

I ended up with a double bend in mine. Seems OK, but will occasionally pop out of 2nd/4th.

This thread has some good pictures:

Does your transfer lever operate OK?
Did you put in just the 2" body lift, or did you add the spacers as well?

Thanks pico will give that a crack this afternoon and let you know how I get on.
Nope that's how she sits!
3inch calmini suspension lift
2inch body lift with one extra spacer on bottom of each block
And 31s with 15x8 with -22 offset
Have a steel winch bumper from woody that's going on this week too.
Highly recommend dealing with both woody for his bumpers and pico42! Great guys very helpful!
