How do you know its air bag compatible. ARB ones have a small sticker certifying that they are compatible. Is there such a compliance sticker from ADR in Australia?

I've asked on the Australia Jeep forum, lets see someone replies to confirm (or deny).

Looking at responses on the Australian forum, these might be airbag compatible in design but arent ADR compliant. That would make therm technically illegal in Australia. Could they still be acceptable within NZ laws, I don't know but highly doubt it.

But JKs aren't 14 years old yet. They came out from 2007.

Yes, you'll have to completely remove the airbag assemblies and get it certified.

Air bags from the steering and the passenger side dashboard.

And the bulb in the dash that indicates a malfunction.

Cherokee of that age usually only has the drivers airbag and its mechanical not electrical like most systems.
No warning lights on dash to worry about.
No passenger airbag to remove either.

Because of that I would say fit the bar and if come WoF time they query it then remove drivers airbag if necessary and cert.

I fitted a custom one off manufactured front winch bumper to a '95 and never had a problem with WoF or queried re airbag (which remained fitted).
