I'm looking for a new winch for my 80 series cruiser
As there are many different options out there for my truck I just wanted to
See if witch ones are better for it as it is only a 12v truck but thinking of making it a 24v one later on so what winches are people running for there cruiser?

for your bus, look at the reduction ratio.. that's what will make pulling it out easier but at a cost.. slower than a slow thing on a slow day

BUT it'll pull all day if ya batteries are in mean condition. I don't think make will change much other then reliability but some of the Chinese ones do have a good rep..

Your last topic you stated how wanted to ditch the toyota winch for a runva winch.
Now you are asking what winch to go with?
Heres a tip...
How about doing a bit of research on runvas models then select 3 or 4 models and asks for opinions on those chosen.
Personally if you have stalled your toyota unit then you need to start listening to how any winch operates as instead of stalling a/m winches you will generally just burn the motors or solenoids out instead.
Imho hydraulic is the way to go with big buses if pto is not an option

I ran a runva 12lb on the front of my old safari, that thing would pull all week and take about as long but never ever let me down and it did some really hard work with no complaints, going for another one on my new 80
