Ok ppl im thinking of winding up my torsion bars in the front of my mistral as it sit lower than the rear by approx 50mm is there or will i hit probs in doing this ?

the minstral chassis and suspention is suposed to
be the same as a terrano, so you shud have no
problems winding the front up, other than needing
a wheel alignment once its done.....

When you do wind it up, do a short drive and then park it up and measure the distance from tthe guard (centerline above front axle) to the top of tyre, rim or what have you, on both side to be sure its level. IFS torsion bars take a short drive to level themselves out after each time you adjust them or when the vehicle has been on a hoist etc.
I just go up and down the street 100m each way then park up in a straight line.

I have/had one, for what it is, it does ok. I very quickly outgrew mine. It was meant to be a vehicle for all jobs ie; the school run, family taxi, holiday camper and weekend fun machine. Ended up not doing any of the jobs very well, but well enough I guess.

I find it ok for the off roading i do at the moment it takes me to fishing spots that a car cant get me to and it also gets me into the forests over at Taupo to race my dogs in the winter time tracks are not good for the van i had so went this way now i dont have to go the long way round to get there just follow the other 4x4s
