strange looking sump

Heya lads. The sump on my td42 has started seepin oil through welds that don't look factory, the sump has a box section welded underneath where most just have the bowl ,like a large baffled pan by the looks. I'll big a pic up when I'm off the phone. Does any one else have anything similar? I've been told its more military surplus by the yendor at the other site,ideas guys?
