Cleaning Canvas Soft Top

Post by Tonkatoy. »

Hi Guys,
I have done a search on the forum and can't seem to find any advice.
My Canvas soft top has a lot of ingrained dirt and no matter what I do I can't clean it.
I have tried hot soapy water & a brush - still dries looking dirty
Haven't done a water blast yet - Don't like the sound of that pressure.
Have used normal car wash liquid as well as dish washing liquid.
Any suggestions :?: :?:
:? :?

You could try something like this? Or maybe ask at a horse shop for a horse cover cleaner...

Let me know if you find something that works, might help me in the future :D

if its really ingrained you'll never get it all out, a bit of janola helps but may not be the best for the longevity of the canvas and stitching :D

Yeah mines leaking like a sive and when I shut the doors water splashes in from the holes that the posts come out of to go into the half door. Was going to re waterproof it but thought I would have to get dirt out first.
