Hey has any one every done a solid axle hilux conversion to a navara before wondering the best way to over come the steering situation from the colum steering box to the hilux suspension any suggestions?

start by reading that thread,
you could use a patrol auto and vh45 up to a mq or gq diff to keep it all Nissan, but you will really struggle for real estate in a d21 engine bay,
so maybe a qd32 with a big turbo would be a better option.
not to mention Nissan bits are reasonably interchangeable so fabrication could be kept to a minimum

problems are only a problem if you not willing to learn how to find solutions

lots of hard work, chopping, fabricating , cursing and bashing your head against the wall if you want to do it mate, dunno about the 1uz part but theres a few different variations of terrano/nevara SAS swaps on the interweb

a y60 steering box bolts on to the stock terrano/navara chassis. and the factory steering column bolts on. get the drag link made to suit. the d21/wd21 steering box arms face back the patrol face forward. ya will need to cut the factory tie down point off as it fouls the y60 steering arm.
