Need some new tyres for our hunting quads.
What brands/tyres are recommended for SI high country stations?
Quad Tyres
Re: Quad Tyres
I run 26in maxxis zillas on my trx420. Used kenda claws and kenda executioners for a while but the maxxis are miles better. Bear in mind this is for the north island but they have been a good all-rounder. Performed well in stoney riverbeds, mud and sand.
Only complaint is slow turns chew up tracks a bit.

Bear Claws get my vote. Pretty much all we fit to our customers quads. Great all-rounder

Re: Quad Tyres
Bear claws are the ducks nuts, they even come in 12.5" wide for the rears
If you want something more aggressive, Duro Buffalos are also a good tyre
Just remember, dont listen to the parts guy selling them, listen to the peasants like me out the back fitting them

We are running Swamp witch tyres on both of our can am 650's on a high country station and they have good grip and also don't wear too fast
