Force4 King of The Palace - Pictures & Videos

Post by Filthy4x4 »

I have made this so we can add all the footage in one spot.

I would like to say on behalf of Andrew Gibson and I that we are so thankful for all of those who helped us achieve this event, the sponsors that provided prizes and support, the marshals who helped were beyond amazing, the media crew were great, the competitors were awesome. Great attitudes all round helped with making it an awesome event.

We had an absolute blast running the event, we hope everyone enjoyed it.

Big thanks also to my partner for picking up the slack, keeping us fed and warm to ensure we could continue to run the event.

Thanks also to my mum Averil and her partner Darryl for coming up from Warkworth to freeze in the rain to provide us with a lovely spit, also to Lewis for dropping down a mean Hangi as well.

Thanks again guys, it was an awesome weekend...

Any feedback on the event is welcomed, good or bad 8)

As I marshalled the next stage, I can answer for him...
About 10 feet into the stage he popped out of a ditch, front wheels were a couple of feet off the ground and both spinning well. When it touched down the front diff popped and that was all she wrote............. :(
There was talk after of going to Nissan 8 inch diffs next.

Yeah it was running mint. Started stage 3 and tried to drive the creek right at the start, ended up smashing the something in the front diff. If it hadn't of let go we would have drove out of it as it was climbing out when it blew.

 I realise that, it can't help having the locker in and running a brand new set of sharp Silverstones at low pressures either. I've had it airborne many times before and a lot higher than that with out problems

Not yet. I'm a little scared too as the air locker compressor started to run non stop once it blew, hopefully it's just the copper tube broken...

Oh shit front diff #2

Sounded like your R&P letting go. Who did the setup? Toyo diffs extremely sensitive in terms of setup. Many failures are just due to incorrect setup.

Yep diff number two  Good proof to show the strength in the Longfield axles and cv's  Didn't have time to set it up myself, a mate did it who would have set up hundreds of them as it's what he use to do for a living so the set up should have been fine. I can see a set of Nitro ring and pinions not too far away.
