Hi all,
Posting this on behalf of a mate.
He has a 1998 KZN185 Intercooled. Having some issues apparently with the truck not wanting to go into 4wd. He said the dashboard lights flash and it doesn't engage.
Does anyone know what this may be and is it a potentially costly fix? Or is it quite common?

Not uncommon, usually one of the vacuum solinoids on the inner guard by the air filter.
Try bypassing the blue solinoid (pretty sure that's the in one)
Push the 4wd button and send vacuum to the line from the blue soliniod where it goes toward the front diff.
