Hi there
about to embark on a sas into my bighorn, was wondering if anyone can shed some light on a list of parts im going to need, im going to use hilux 4.8s front and rear and hoping to do coilovers
and maybe an estimated cost on other peoples sas's?? pm me if you like
what parts/brands you recomend, shocks coils etc best place to buy from, looking for as much information as possible before i start
From what i understand driveshaft ends up being a bit short and have to extend is this true? how did you work around this?
How does the tailshaft mate together with the hilux diff?
also if you have any 4.8 hilux diffs and keen to sell pm me, lol
Thanks in advance, chris

Re: Isuzu bighorn sas help!
I can assist in some knowledge with the drive shafts. I had a 50 ml spacer machined up with longer bolts. If you are lucky the gmh drive shaft should slide inside the hilux driveshaft(tight fit) i cut an end of each and slid one in side the other installed it and slid it to suit. Marked it. Removed it. Cut of some of the excess then refitted it and welded once i was happy with the length.

I'v got hilux axles on my zook, they are too narrow for my truck so check the width. Try 80 series axles?
Re: Isuzu bighorn sas help!
what are the ratios for cruisers? looking to run 35-36's so figured the 4.8 would be the best to run for a on and off road truck.
also thought the hilux axles might be alot easier to obtain
i am open to suggestions though.

I have had 2 sas bighorns, one was coiled front end using isuzu rear end and hilux front, supercharged commy and 36s.The other one I did I used hilux rear springs with sprung over rear hilux diff and hilux front and 4.88s went really well with a 2.8 itd.
