Hereworth 4WD Trek

The 4th bi-annual Hereworth 4WD trip will this year be based at a beach near Havelock north and as is the custom will be a clover leaf format from a central camp set up with trips out and back to the same camp each day. They are in planning stages of this trip now.

What grades of trips will be run?

Last two I have been on it has been mainly a Shiny Trip. But at one stage on the first one I did they did split a few of the tougher trucks off for some harder tracks, but only for about 3 hours.

Also being Hawkes Bay it can be very dry. They had torrential rain just a week after the first trip I did and it did a lot of damage to tracks and roads we had just been on plus the hill behind the old historic wool shed we were camped at fell down and knocked the wool shed off its piles.

They alternate it each time between Inland and Coastal, this one will be Coastal again.
