Club Trip into Sutherlands in the Snow Image . It was an absolute blast with a trip that would normally take about 3 hrs took up to 12   .
We had to contend with deep mud, snow, fallen trees, dead batteries, loss of brakes, loss of steering, broken axle, blown turbo cooling hose, punctures oh yeah a little electrical fire.
But nothing wrong the Toyota 8)

Pauls 49 beautifully restored, and not afraid to use it 8)

I spent the weekend fixing headlights replacing pinion seal in the rear diff (to find the muppets had given me the wrong seal).
Removed fibreglass guards to have fixed after breaking the panard rod ball joint.

Next weekend find somewhere fun to go.

Replaced the power steer pump in my pighorn and fitted an LED light bar for an upcoming night mission. Tonight is drivers side CV replacement.

That Sutherland's trip sounds awesome! I will have to come over....

Cool Photos Paul. Was the new gate still in place or did vandals manage to pull it out of 6 feet of concrete?!

Did some exploring an Odlins sidetrack

Interestingly the TD42 5spd Patrol with 4.11s (or was it 4.3s in those?) seems to have very similar real world crawl ratio to the TD27 with 4.88s (both on 33s)

Yup, the gate is still implanted. Tho I hear some tried to winch it and ruined the winch.
