I shop at Bridon Cookes, but like most places, it often depends on who you know as to what you pay

Yep, Bridon's (formerly Cookes) is the best place.
That way you know you are getting nylon for sure.

Bought my 28mm nylon from Bridon/Cookes about 10yrs ago and it's been used hundreds of times and still going strong. I've been meaning to retire it and get another one which i will do but they ain't cheap.

How do you do the ends on the rope from Bridon

You have a mate who can splice a loop into the ends or like me you pay Bridon to do it for you which they are normally happy to do.

And don't forget that a 28mm nylon rope is far far stronger than any recovery hook so learn how to use it properly or they are very dangerous. (as opposed to a strap that normally break before the recovery hook)

We had a bunch of snatch master straps as giveaways when you bought stuff from us. I grabbed a couple they seem pretty decent.

Very very true, I saw an ex club member use the same rope as mine one day and he tore the hook from an old landy...mind you he was known for being reckless at times.
Used properly as any snatch should be done then they are safe as houses...it's why mine is still in one piece and useable to this day.
