Well I consider myself a little slack, I joined this forum two years ago and never actually introduced myself.

When I first signed up I had an Escudo that needed wrecking, this I upgraded to a Nissan Mistral (Stolen), which I replaced with a V8 Disco 2 (written off in MVA by missus) and now I'm pretty close to buying a modded 91 Safari 4.2 5 speed.

I'm a 30yo "Technical Development Manager" (so says my business card) recently just wrapped up a 12 year career in the RNZAF, I have a partner and son who both enjoy adventures which our primary vehicle/shopping trolley (Honda Fit) and my work Van (Ford Transit) just don't cut the mustard.

Concerned a LWD High roof safari is on the large side for my needs but it has 15k of receipts from just over 6 months ago and no sign of any serious abuse.I figure I can probably swap it for a hilux down the track anyway with similar mods.

Any how I'm pretty keen to use this thing 2 or 3 times a month if I buy it so expect to see me around. I solo trip a lot so be great to develop a network of friends who join me and/or can bail me out should I ever need it (which I never have... well there was this one time in a borrowed Delica at Ellesmere but that's probably more a self muppetry post)

welcome lol i have a hiroof safari and give it shit as much as possible i like the room easy as to put a false floor in so i can have a double bed and a fridge for camping and if a track isnt wide enough i widen it or raise the tops to suit    yea they are a big toy but coils are so much more comfortable  :P (just my opinion )

Using your safari to widen the tracks isn't the same as widening the tracks
