Tyre tech in station rd otahuhu they are a wholesaler but do visa at a guess.
Not cheap but

have seen it done with a chainsaw with a G clamp on the bar to control the depth :shock:

, but I'm weighing the cost's up whether to open up the centres on my KL71's with 15mm of tread or get an old set and have them retreaded with a 25mm deep Ag tread.

So it,s basically a 100 watt soldering iron with a knife edge on it huh... I have an idea 8)

Yep...but remember that one is for very soft mx tyres where you dont need any pressure. My tg250 has a sharpened wire instead of a blade, and a pressure handle so you can put some weight into it. You need a bit of muscle for truck rubber. Although simexes (and I guess the kl71s too) arent as hard as the 16 rally tyres I did last time I used it... :lol:

i bought the ps15 truckstar for just over a $1k from off tyre tech.
great machine, i recently cut the tracks on my little traxcavator :shock: worked awesome as well 8)
