Nah. My speed is displayed in the footage. 15kmph I think. He took up the whole road. If I hadn't of moved he would of hit us easily.

is the gps speed accurate? i had problems with mine. the video looks a lot faster than the indicated speed. it looks like its recorded at 2x or 4x.

I think the problem was that the truck wasn't keeping left, clearly.

The software isn't glitch free. But I think the gps speed had me down correctly.
It was pretty close, closer than it looked anyway.

pretty much obvious where the truck was on the road, well over the centre line is where he was, also on a side note the truck should of been giving way to up hill traffic. guess he forgot about that as well

Not worry.
It's great that dash cameras are getting cheaper these days. Means more of us can use them. I wouldn't drive my 80 without one personally.

Have another real good watch, look on the inside of the truck when he first appears. His front wheel is only a foot or 2 from the inside. The rear wheels always track tighter than the fronts. The line he was on is the line he had to take to get around the corner. Any tighter and he risks dropping the rears off the inside.
Also look at the width of the truck vs the lane width.
To me it looks like one of those roads where maybe everyone should have been going a little slower given the vehicles they were driving. But I think you are being a bit unfair to the truck driver.

The down hill giveway to traffic, the road code says this:
"Uphill and downhill traffic
On steep, narrow roads, it is easier for vehicles moving downhill to give way to vehicles moving uphill"

It's a suggestion, not a law. Also you can't give way to what you can't see.

Yeah the speed is definitely wrong. GPS will be reading in a straight horizontal line, as he was travelling up hill his road speed is faster than the GPS measured straight line horizontal speed. Something a lot of people are unaware of when using GPS as speedos.

For the truck driver would think he was not far wrong as taking into account the width, angle of the bridge and the corner, he would need to be fairly wide on the entry to allow for the rear wheels and length of rigid vehicle. Don't know the road and the lens distorts thinks so it is hard to tell for sure but think both vehicles could have been a bit lazy in road positioning and looks like the cruiser considering is towing a trailer, could have been over to the left more at points as well.

It easy to blame the trucker, but when you are the one sat behind the steering wheel of the truck and can understand the road position you see things different. Speed on the GPS is defiantly all over the place and would be no use if you had had and accident. Has you approaching at 12-16km/h and then when you go past back of truck shoots from 20k to 33 km/h
