Am cb radio

hi there ive brought a 27mhz cb off the net without knowing a lot about them. I was wondering if it will work with a 27mhz aerial and a uhf base and cable?

nz am cbs were 26Mhz just to be different, and protect the local industry. You need the am aerial to match, along with matching second set to talk. The later cb,s as you have mentioned are uhf, which means it like trying to recieve FM radio on an old AM receiver.
