anyone have a g13ba camshaft about?
heard that the ba has a more aggressive cam to go with 1.3:1 ratio rockers,
would like to try with the g13a 1.5:1 rockers to give some more valve lift.

The sohc g13b crank has a shorter stroke and the cams are ever so slightly different from memory. I suspect you get more duration from the g13b cam hence it revving differently as well as the lower compression. I think the pistons have the same dimensions but one is flat and one isn't with different valve cut outs depending on engine so interference at TDC could be possible when interchanging cams? I never tried the longer stroked 1324cc block with 1298 cam combo though as I came to the conclusion I'd just be splitting hairs trying to gain bugger all hp and my time would be better spent fitting an injected 1600. I probably wouldn't bother fitting a ba crank due to the torque and compression loss. A td42 nissan starter probably puts out more hp than the suzuki motor so gotta get what you can
I found a page a while ago with all the motor specs when I was messing with the 1300. Will stick up the link if I can find it. Was on team swift or redline.
Lots of aftermarket bits to get a bit more power out of those motors but they are reportedly quite weak when you start messing with aftermarket valvetrain components.
Be interested to see how you get on though so report back if you give it a go

have you found out how much clearance you've got before you go for more lift

no not at all,
but I figured some plasticine resting on the piston crown would soon tell a story,
hence looking for a junked motors cam,
if the radius at the back side of the cam lobe still allows sufficient tolerance for the valve to seat and the cams timed correctly I can't see too much hassle with getting valves shut before pistons happen along either,
although a adjustable cam wheel would be an option

If you have a G13A you could fit the pistons out of a G13BA to raise the compression, as G13A are dished and G13BA flat top.
