hey guys, so im in process of stripping my motor down and getting head/crank/con rods crack tested. I will be building motor stronger and wanting to run upto 25psi boost if possible. The plan is to get the cams reground aswell. I will be putting stronger pistons in and thicker head gasket for higher boost and to keep egts down. I will be putting a 2lt ip in with boost compensator, would the 2lt pump be capable of supplying enough fuel for 20-25psi? I have been looking for turbo upgrade options from the ct20, anyone have any good ideas what type of turbo to run? Further specs are 2.5inch strait through exhaust from turbo, rx7 intercooler. cheers

Don't waste your time, get a 1KZ instead and fit manual pump and an intercooler.

seems weird having a psi goal rather than a hp goal
Steve merch upgrades the ct20 turbos and bores them out a bit. Have you thought of 3" exhaust to help keep the egt down more?

I have considered that, but dont have 3k for motor, then 1.5 for manual pump and will need 900 for bellhousing adapter or run r151 box etc where as i can build the motor with new pistons rings, bearings, reground cam, thicker head gasket, 2lt pump, new turbo etc for 1500... i then know for sure i have brand new fresh motor thats not going to fail anytime soon.

well more boost + more fuel = more hp. I have 2.5inch strait through exhaust from turbo

you will never be able to pour in enough fuel to make 25lb worth while. tho as long as the turbo isn't inefficient at that boost it won't hurt it. 15lb would do everything you want.
they are known for cranks breaking even in stock form so make sure that gets x-rayed.
no need for thicker head gasket. dummy assemble it and measure piston protrusion and machine the pistons so they are even. then of course select head gasket depending on protrusion. don't do the mongrel thing and use the thickest around as it will run like crap.
stock cam is okish. an adjustable cam pulley would be good to advance it up a tad.
turbo, probably mitsi to4 (i think its can't remember model number at the mo) which is what most aftermarket kits use. there is upgrades for that turbo.
i wouldn't bother with a ct20, carbon seal turbo's need to be thrown very far away !
