So have had my truck certed all passed now just waiting on cert plate to turn up its been 3 weeks.... how long does it take to make a simple plate with a few bits of information......

my car 2 weeks
truck 5 weeks
2 years between doing each 1

Yep. If ya vehicle is all in order you can get it inspected on a wednesday and be driving it legally on a saturday. All depends on how onto it the inspector is.

2 days what a show off ! apparently the cert guy doesnt do the plate he just sends the info away n its made by someone else or thats the story ive got.

Yep plate is made by LVVTA somewhere , you will have to take your truck back to certifier to have plate fitted or to someone who is approved by them to have it fitted.

Thats what im waiting for man sure hope its before this weekend...

Anyone can fit them, you just have to fill out a deligation form

Don't have to wear out your tires on the road then ash or pay as much for gas

Duno what kinda A Frame you hav seen before but my tyres will still be contacting the road thus wearing out not that im concerned about that.

Once the Certifier has signed everything off he hands you a copy of the paper certificate pending the production of the plate.
That paperwork was good enough to show to get a WoF and be able to continue using vehicle until such time the plate is fitted.
At least that was the case a few years back when we did a vehicle certification.
Took the certifier nearly 6 months as the first plate produced was incorrect.

Is that paperwork no longer applicable or acceptable now?

I don't know I'm going to bring that up with my mate who's organising it and who's also doing the WOF will ask tomorrow and see what's up with that. thanks for that piece of information it could yet prove to be very valuable!

The paperwork was acceptable to the WoF place at the time. Actually went through two WoF's no problems before correct plate finally fitted although WoF guy did say that next time plate needed to be fitted.

last cert I got done plate took 5 months, hope yours is quicker.

Just an update on cert plate its with the cerifier but he is away this weekend it woulf seem so it being fitted on monday. Which is a pain in the ass cos have a club day im wanting to go on........... so roll on monday I say then I can be all road legal again!

Hi Ashohman,Use the MV1 form to apply for registration (license plates). If you already have valid Wisconsin license plates in your name, you can transfer them to another vehicle, if it is the same type (example: car to car, or truck to same weight class truck). Write the plate number you want to transfer on the application form.Please reply your suggestions about my post..Keep in touch with us...Thanks in Advance
