I read something on here a while back about putting Safari rear springs into a Terrano, but can't seem to find it again. The Question I have is that surely they are not just a simple take out the old ones and pop in the new ones? The Safari springs are a wider diameter than Terrano ones after all so if anyone has any knowledge on the subject, I will be very keen to hear it.

you will need to shift ya std shock mounts so they don't foul on springs and make the lower spring perch bigger to take the springs by the time ya have done that its most likey cheeper to get some terrano lift springs.

Is this a direct swap? Which model/year grand Cherokee did you get them from? How much lift did you get out of it? I've just re-indexed my torsion bars, as the front was super saggy so I'm guessing the rear is too

i read that you have to use cherakee FRONT springs, and they had to be from a V8.Don't know if that is gospel.
Two inch lift over stock.

Hi there,

have done the safari rear spring swap on my build, but i have also put a safari front axle underneath the front of it.

Did it only to keep things easy to upgrade i.e buy a whole saf lift kit rather than mismatching bits and pieces. there is a fair bit involved, cheaper to buy a a new pair of springs for the hassle.
