4M40 Getting Sluggish

My 96 Challenger is getting a bit Sluggish on the hills and is getting notibly worse, Ive just done the Injectors/Glow Plugs/ had the Valves/Tappets checked etc by the pros. Have just serviced also and nothing seems to have made much of a difference? Fuel pump has been replaced (some time ago)

I blanked off the EGR Valve a few years ago (was recommended too..) made no difference, could this be the cause?

Transmission has been serviced and was told is in excellent condition.

Should I be looking towards the Exhaust perhaps choking the engine? Turbo issue?
It runs like a dream on the flat, idles perfectly, blows ZERO smoke at all.

Im at a loss, any suggestions or recommendations to check/look into?

Gidday,

Dirty Air flow sensor? Family member had a TD27-T in a 96 Terrano that suffered the same... was good on the flat, but as soon as it came anywhere near a slight incline it was a gutless as anything - some hills you could have your foot flat to the floor and it wouldn't get over 70 kms.

Quick clean of the air flow sensor and it was like a rocket ship in comparison.

Could be worth checking.

Check the rubber hose to the boost compensator on top of the fuel pump. Check both ends, and make sure there's no sooty oily crap blocking the nipple on the turbo end.
