Holden v8 and v6 auto box differences

Hi, looking at possible engine conversions for my old 2ltr 4 speed hilux and would like to keep it as simple as possible. it seems that Isuzu transfer cases slide onto the output shaft of a Holden v6 box which is great.

Due to this simplicity I was looking at the holden v6, but after a bit of research it seems that the 5l (304) v8 box shares the same guts as the v6 box, but with a different input shaft and bell housing. The boxes share the same model number / name too. What I'm wondering is if the Isuzu transfer case will fit the v8 box too, ie are the output shafts the same.
