Picked my new motor up during the week. Now to find a rear sump setup, finish the transfer case and look at making it fit. Finally some progress.
Got some time this evening so made up a temporary mount for my light bar.

not surprising, had four customers in the last two weeks say similar things, nothing against the actual ute, just not suitable for there applications anymore, one guy traded his in for a live axle hilux, another is looking at a defender.

On a lighter note, had a wee play in the mud, nothing broken, didn't try hard enough and one error put us back to 3rd place for the day.

Worked on the series,
Changed to parabolic springs and new shocks to go along, thanks to rex at
http://www.landroverspares.co.nz had to do some mean customness to make it all fit together again, was comtemplating spring over but didn't wana make it into a tippy pig.
Did some more engine work on the 350 and also found a set of standard SATs to roll around on so i stop wearing out the Simexs

Took Friday off & celebrated getting a year older with a long weekend involving 4wding in the wilds of the Urewera, a bit of mountainbiking, some beer drinking, spit roasted wild pork, & the company of mates & family. Had great weather too!
