91 L200 turbo diesel. Thoughts?

I'm looking at buying an L200 for a daily driver. It's a 91 turbo diesel 4wd double cab. Mostly it wont leave town, but will have to take me skiing, mtbing and maybe occasionally tow my race truck (if I ever finish it).

Besides slow, what experiences have people had? Common problems? Things to look out for? Rust shouldn't be an issue on this one as its been garaged since 95. That said, any real tricky rust spots to watch out for?

Any advice much appreciated.

I've had no issues with rust, even with drowning mine at regular intervals!
The only troubles I have had are all due to the evil things I put mine through. Alternator, front diff, brake cables and starter from water ingress.
I have blown out cv's and locking hubs too but it goes places where a v8 powered fj40 needed recovery!
Slowness can be cured with turbo mods, more boost and a tweak of the fueling. I run a water to air inter cooler too.
Mine is a daily drive three weeks out of four, when I'm not on call.

I have had a fair few of these, turbo and non turbo. the turbo ones arnt too bad speed wise, they hum along well enough - not turbo are a slug. Reliability I found was great from both. Never had any major issues other than one turbo needing to be replaced but i knew that before I brought it. No head problems or overheating as some people say. Gearboxes are aparantly quite weak but I never had a problem. Rust seems prone around the windscreen and a pillars mainly, as well as under the dash where the fan pulls air in from the vent below the windscreen although u can't really see this without pulling the dash out.
