FJ40 Body Panels

Post by HGR »

Has anyone had much luck sourcing steel or fiberglass FJ panels? Just picked one up today and she's in need of a little TLC. Primarily concerned about the rockers and the floor pans.

You can get some from the US but for a small fortune.

I built my own floor panels (might be able to get a better job if a professional does it with proper tooling - I used bits of wood, hammers and vice grips.

about $4k-$5k for a fibreglass tub from 4wdfibreglass in Hamilton, there are plenty of reproduction panels available ex usa but it would cost more than the trucks worth to land them here, rare spares in aussie do a few bits I know they do door bottoms and a few other minor bits but I'd doubt they would supply floor sections and rocker panels. If your trucks still worth repairing your best bet is to have a go at repairing it yourself or do a bit of research and find a panelbeater that's good at fabrication :D

What part of the country you in? I maybe albe to help with the bits you need.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.
