diff shave and strengthend front diff housing

a m8 welded this up and shaved it for me hope the pic load works

nice shaving but she's a bit of a grader blade with that bracing underneath now

is the effort required for a diff shave on the safari really worth it?
ie does it really gain much?
I ask as I have saf and ive discovered my front diff has a small oil weep from a weld, and may need to strip to repair.
I was considering to get diff strengthened as well too but didn't think a diff shave achieved much.

I guess Nissans need all the help they can get to keep up with the Toyotas lol.
But seriously ... I hope you braced the diff as you were welding it to keep it from twisting from the heat of the welding.

m8 does allot of engineering that did the job so its mint
