weird Vibration

Hi all

The old trusty Pajero has a problem lately. 94 Auto 4M40

It started off as a vibration at about 100kph and has slowly got worse and more noticeable at lower speeds. Now you can feel it as low as 20-30kph. When it is at the slower speeds it is more of a small wobble, and you can feel it through the steering wheel. At the higher speeds it is a harsh vibration, kinda like when you put your hand on a speaker. Still drives all good. It is also only under load, when you lift off and coast it goes away, but as soon as you apply even a small amount of throttle it comes back. Also when it is wobbly at the slower speeds I tried to feel if the 4wd lever wobbles at all, but it doesn't seem to be? It has been doing this for about 8 months, slowly getting worse, in eh last month it has gone from only feeling it at 90 to now the 30. It also does not go away in 4wd either.

I have replaced the right hand front drive shaft, but the vibration never went away, I have checked wheel bearings, and made sure the driveshafts front and rear are not loose, checked tyres for bulges and checked all the steering links, and most have been replaced in the lat 6 months.

Could it be the Auto? We had it flushed about 1.5 months ago.

Any help would be much appreciated. It is my work vehicle and my HQ race car tow vehicle so is pretty important.

Tyres have been changed during the vibration, but are due to be replaced soon.

I do need to check gearbox mounts and engine mounts more thoroughly.

Check rear driveshaft universal joints. A tight uj or missing needles etc will create an imbalance. Jack up the rear and put it into (2wd!!) gear and have a nosey
