Hi Folks,

grabbed a front diffhead and CVs from a V6 2L Escudo at Pick-a-part yesterday (needed 26-spline front as I'm adding a lockrite and blah blah), and grabbed the rear head while I was there - it's got an odd adjustment-bolt type thing by the top-arm mounts (sorry, only pic I've got's a bit crap) which isn't on either of my other diffs - does anyone know what this is? Looks pretty normal inside, but I don't know much about diffs.

Anyone got any clues? cheers,
T.

It is known as a 'load bolt' and is used to prevent excessive deflection of the ring gear under load ie stops it twisting when you give it a bootful.
