Fuel starve D1

Disco cut out towing the boat.
Plenty of spark looked for loose wires/connections etc.
Is the fuel pump kaput?
The ignition amplifier module plays up as per an earlier thread I placed here.
Any possible connection to the fuel starve issue.
Also just had a new exhaust put in.
Thoughts/tips/ideas.

Don't these have some kind of "i had an impact" fuse that cuts the fuel pump?
PM Team Tonka on here, he knows about the issue I mention. Not sure if you have the same problem though.

Loosen a fuel line and see if its getting fuel. If no fuel listen for pump going in tank. If its going but no fuel likely cause is blocked filter or - Fuel pump is connected to fuel line in tank with a short rubber hose, which go hard and can come off. Crash sensor wont be problem unless you hit something hard.

Oh, and that rubber pipe does cause low fuel pressure too including erratic idle and poor starting. What happens is the hose comes off the pipe but because its only short it sits wedged inline with the fuel line, with the ends just touching, so does pass some fuel but with less pressure. At least its easy to remove the fuel pump. Stupid design floor never the less.
Brings back memories of another happy night down the river working out what's wrong with Dave's disco

Thanx for the tips TT.
Ended up the fuel pump had gone south.
Inspected the old pump.
A OEM was going to cost like $850 + GST + freight + a 2 week delivery time from the UK.(yeah right moit)
Went for a generic FP for around $340.
Also had the ignition amp relocated to the area behind the L/front head lamp.
Will see how things work out.
