hey team

soo just a few days ago after a weekend in some sand dunes i had to change my air filter, and after i done it my ute (single cab 94 navara) has developed a LOUD whistle! like im driving a bloody truck..

Got a boost gauge on it last night, and boosting just over 4-5psi!!!!!!!! so as a test i unhooked the line to the actuator to see if it would raise, but no, still 4-5psi and mine hasnt got a relief valve or egr on it(both blanked off b4 i got it).. cant find any leaks anywhere unless ive missed something!

still drives fine just loud and of coarse gets abit hot as i feel not enough boost to cool her down.

Anyone had this happen before???

Why did you have to change your airfilter?
Sounds like maybe you've had some debris go down intake and damage the turbo vanes

split or dislodged pipe between turbo and intake manifold
start it up and spray the shit out of the engine with crc, you'll find the leak when the engine rpm's pick up

Sounds like maybe you've had some debris go down intake and damage the turbo vanes

was very old and just needed to be done- changed all the filters at once

all sorted now! soo nice to have full boost back again!!!!!!! some big arse bung had came out of the side on the inlet.. now has a rb25det vct solenoid in it till I get another bung haha
