Finally I am whole again

Post by dejavo »

:D After living without a toyota hilux for 8 years I finally got myself a 1999 xcab 4wd hilux. Although I paid much to much for it I must admit it was necessary in order to feel alive again. Don't tell my lovely wife  . I will spend a lot in grooming as it was used as a working vehicle which is good in a sense as it has not take the hammering of to much off road traveling, I hope.
On the moment, central console needs replacement, seats, carpet, and all the small things like rear tail lights, safety belts, etc. Also would like to confirm all mechanical and engine status.
Now the problem is as these parts are not available any more it will need to be substituted by possibly other models or makes.
:?: Where do I start?
I am sure I will benefit a lot from this forum in my learning experience of owning a hilux in NZ. A merry Christmas and happy new year to all.
